Giving Thanks
Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday. Traditionally, from my understanding, Thanksgiving was a time for farmers to celebrate the harvest and the blessings from the past year. Farmers see things as they are, the facts, they are connected to what is. From seeing the facts, they are aware of what has to happen. I believe there is great wisdom in how they live life.
For me Thanksgiving is a time to share a meal with family and friends, and to give thanks for all the abundance I have received in life. I love the idea of giving thanks to all that we have: and I have so much to be grateful for.
So … I just want to say thank you to all those who have been a part of my journey; from my parents and family to my new neighbour down the hallway; from all the travellers I’ve met on the road to the old friends I’ve known for years; from every student who has walked through my classroom door to all those in the world of scribing; from all my teachers and to Master Dhyan Vimal whose life work is all about being a friend to mankind.
I thank all of you on this October Thanksgiving Day.
